5 Unique Ways to Use the Viral Bounce Sex Stool

5 Unique Ways to Use the Viral Bounce Sex Stool

The viral Bounce Squatter Sex Stool sold at Bonjibon has been all the hype this summer. I came across this marvelous tool while scrolling on Instagram and was super intrigued, especially after seeing how inclusive their branding is on socials and their website. For example, they categorize their items by body part, which immediately stood out to me and was really affirming as a nonbinary person, because so many shops typically only categorize by “men” and “women”. I reached out to Bonjibon as someone in a similar industry, and we set up a collaboration so I could share my honest, unbiased opinion.

For those who don’t know, the bounce stool is an ergonomic piece of sex furniture. It features an elastic seat that holds one’s body weight, reducing physical joint strain while enhancing rhythmic motion, so that sex positions can be accessible and comfy for all bodies. The bounce stool also features a handlebar for extra stability.

I got to try the viral sex stool with my fiancée over the last 2.5 weeks, and while there’s many sex stools on the market–ranging from $50 to $300+–the Bonjbon-vetted bounce squatter sex stool is superior with its structural integrity and 400 lbs maximum weight limit; trust me, as a plus size person, I know.

The most important thing I learned over these last few weeks with this stool is how non-limiting and fun sex can be when we use things that are actually meant for our bodies. This bouncy stool can be used in so sooo many different ways–yep, even in solo play. Let's explore some unique scenarios to use this viral bounce squatter sex stool below.

1. In Bed (duh)

The bedroom is the most popular and obvious choice for people to have sex. But, depending on how your anatomy aligns with your partner’s, some positions aren’t the most intuitive. For example, my partner and I are both plus-size, so cowgirl often turns into a feeble struggle; the pressure on top strains her joints, and because my prosthetic isn’t anatomically attached to me–moment of silence for all my transmascs–it wobbles and pushes the base away from my T-dick, leaving me without the frictional pleasure I’m needing.

Incorporating the bounce squatter sex stool, using its handrails and your headboard for additional support can be easier on the knees, and help line up body parts. And, the soft give of a bed can change the angle/depth of penetration, especially great for those who prefer a gentle rhythm, because the bed bounces with you.

2. On the Floor

You may need something more firm than a mattress for your activities, in which case, using the bounce squatter on the floor is an obvious answer. I’ve personally used the floor even without a stool to help maintain balance when on top, but adding the bounce squatter sex stool enables both my partner and I to each have total control in our respective roles. Plus, the floor unlocks more positions because it allows the elastic to do 100% of its job without a mattress absorbing any energy, and helps prevent any accidental tipping/falling off the mattress. Using the stool on the floor enabled my partner and I to be more connected, engaging in a straddle-like position–something we usually can’t do without the stool because of our height difference and anatomy. We are also able to try face sitting without fear of suffocation.

3. On the Couch

Despite what your parents said, yes you can jump on the couch–er, well, bounce. I pinky promise you won’t get in trouble. And, no, sex is not a disgusting thing–you can fuck on the couch and people will be okay (seriously). Just clean up after yourself. Using the bounce squatter on the couch opens the door to even more fun positions because of the extra anchor points. Depending on where you set up, you’ll have the couch’s armrest and backrest, and the stool’s handrail. Some newly unlocked positions include the prone bone and the hook.

4. In the Bathtub

This one’s a bit more unconventional–well, hell, so is using a sex stool–but can be just as fun, if not more. Using the sex stool in the bath marries the weightlessness of being in a body of water with the lift of the elastic for the ultimate sex upgrade. Plus, with a warm, steamy bath you and your partner can experience a fun take on temperature and sensation play as the warm water laps against your bodies in contrast with the cool, crisp surrounding air.

One note on this:
The Bounce Squatter Sex Stool, and its materials, are not rated on its waterpro
of nor rustproof abilities (or lack thereof), so please be mindful when considering this scenario for the longevity of your stool. If you try this, ensure that you:

  • Properly plant the legs/base only on a flat tub floor, securing it with a heavy-duty, non-slip bathmat
  • Place the stool in the tub before filling with water, but do not fully submerge, to prevent it from losing friction or floating
  • Thoroughly dry all parts after use; wipe the metal frame and let the elastic straps and rubber gripping air dry to prevent mold or rust

5. With a Sex Machine (Or Automated Toy!)

Feel like going solo? The Bounce Squatter Sex Stool is still a great–if not even better–tool to use, especially with a sex machine or automated toy. You can get very creative. For example:

For those who enjoy vaginal/anal penetration

While seated on the Bounce Squatter Sex Stool, position a thrusting toy underneath you. Get ready for the ride–er, bounce–of your life! You can further elevate your experience by simultaneously using a vibrator (or stroker, if you have a penis) on your favorite spot.

Personally, I use the Lovense Mini Sex Machine. I love that I can angle it to enter all the right holes without me having to move too much, if at all. Bonjibon sells Lovense’s Spinel thrusting, Vibrating + Heating Dildo Machine, which also provides a hands-free session with a suction cup base. Additionally, since it’s remotely-controlled via app, this combo works great for long-distance couples or camera workers.

For those who enjoy being stroked

Lay face down on the Bounce Squatter Sex Stool, with your pelvic area over the elastic seat (kind of like you’re doing a pushup). Position the Lovense Solace Pro Thrusting Masturbator underneath you. Now you’ve just created your own milking table–I mean stool! For added pleasure, pair your session with a vibrating butt plug.

Bonus Tip (for my babes w/ bigger bodies):

Although the maximum width of the stool is 17”, sliding inside the U-shaped legs gives you a little more wiggle room. For reference, I’m 5’3, 230 pounds, wear size 44 in pants, and my body measures about 23” at its widest point; I was still able to use the stool comfortably.

What to Know Before Buying

Before we dive into my final rating, there are a few minor, practical things that you should know. First, Bonjibon gets major points for discretion. My order arrived in a plain, unmarked brown box with a shipping label that only read “Shipping Department” as the sender. And, the product box was in a plastic bag, protecting it from the weather–which I especially appreciate since I live in Florida.

  • Assembly was relatively easy and took ~ 10-12 minutes. The stool comes in seven pieces that slide together to connect, and a straightforward instruction sheet.

  • The instructions don’t mention that the legs must face a specific direction to properly click into place, so I had to disassemble the stool, reorient the legs, then reassemble everything before the stool fit together correctly.

  • This last part also required more strength that I’d anticipated. Because the seat is made from elastic, it creates a lot of tension while you’re pulling the pieces into position, kind of like a heavy duty resistance band.

All of this isn’t a deal-breaker by any means for me, but it is something to be mindful of for people with limited strength, chronic pain, or lower mobility; a second set of hands may be useful for this final step.

Final Rating - 8.5/10

I give Bonjibon’s viral Bounce Squatter Sex Stool a solid 8.5/10. While there are other sex furniture such as wedge pillows, swings, and others to consider, nothing quite compares to this stool simply for the momentum it gives users; this is especially important for users with lower mobility and different access needs. For example, a wedge pillow can only prop you up, while the stool allows for full range of motion and positioning. The bounce stool works with a diverse range of bodies.

Furthermore, it’s more than just a chair to bounce on. There are a lot of ways to use the sex stool, confined only by your imagination. My favorite part was finding all of the unorthodox ways to unlock my pleasure outside of just using it as a chair on the floor/bed. And as a trans person, this Bounce Sex stool has affirmed me and made me feel closer to my partner intimately in positions I couldn’t do without it.

The main drawback to this stool is solely how it holds up with larger bodies. The stool has a maximum width of 17, so partners on the bottom who are larger than that won’t be able to comfortably fit (without some creative modifications). Furthermore, although the weight limit is 400 pounds, I worry about people who weigh close to that amount; my partner and I are between 230-315 pounds, and when we sit down, the elastic seat sinks down lower than if a 150 pound person did. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to be mindful of; if you’re on the heavier side like us, I would recommend having an extra support bar for those on top when (un)mounting.

The Bounce Squatter Sex Stool sold at Bonjibon is the sturdiest sex stool on the market and is well worth the investment. I especially appreciate how honest the Bonjibon team is about the drawbacks of this item when it comes to different bodies, so that us customers are fully informed. In a time when integrity isn’t as common, this is a core reason I’ll be purchasing from Bonjibon in the future. The team also mentioned exploring more inclusive options in the future, which I’m excited about; perhaps an extendable, adjustable seat is in order!?
